Memberships, Certifications & Standards
The industry standards our estimates follow and the professional organizations and credentials behind our estimating team.

Which Standards Do PES Estimates Follow?
Our estimates are organized by CSI MasterFormat divisions, describe accuracy with AACE International estimate classes, and use recognized cost references such as RSMeans data alongside local pricing. Labor on public work follows Davis-Bacon or state prevailing-wage determinations where required.
Standards make estimates easy to read, compare and audit. When every estimate uses the same division structure and the same accuracy language, a general contractor can level sub bids quickly, an owner can compare budgets across design stages, and a lender can follow the numbers. Below are the standards we work to, and the memberships and certifications held by our team.
Industry Standards We Work To
| Standard | What it is | How we use it |
|---|---|---|
| CSI MasterFormat | The standard list of construction divisions and sections in North America | Every estimate is organized by MasterFormat division |
| AACE International 18R-97 | Cost estimate classification for building and general construction | We state the estimate class and expected accuracy |
| RSMeans data | Published construction cost database with city cost indexes | Benchmarking and budget estimates — see RSMeans estimating |
| Davis-Bacon & prevailing wage | Required wage rates on federally funded and many state projects | Applied to labor on public work |
| Uniformat II | Elemental classification by building system | Used for early-stage and system-based estimates |

Standards FAQs
Are your estimates organized by CSI division?
Yes, by CSI MasterFormat divisions, unless you ask for your own format or a Uniformat breakdown.
Do you use RSMeans?
We use RSMeans data for benchmarking and budgets, and current local pricing for bid estimates. See RSMeans estimating.
Can you price prevailing-wage jobs?
Yes, using the wage determination for the project.
Ready to Price Your Next Project?
Send the drawings and bid date. We will confirm the scope and send a fixed quote, usually the same business day.
